Miia takes care of her ornery grandfather, who has cancer, and her ailing grandmother, who is almost wholly bedridden. She struggles through her days in the oppressive atmosphere of her grandparentsâ house, never complaining, contending with the cruel and pitiless consequences of age and physical decline. Yet she doesnât lose her appreciation for the few remaining moments of beauty along the way.
