Edeltraud Schubert
Acting
Edeltraud Schubert (born April 23, 1917; died presumably July 12, 2013, in MariegĂ€rd, Finland) was a German actress. Edeltraud Schubert did not begin her acting career until she had reached retirement age; between 1989 and 2009, she appeared regularly in film and television productions. She frequently portrayed elderly ladies or grandmothers in supporting roles. She appeared particularly often in well-known German television series, including multiple appearances in *Tatort* as well as several episodes of *Der Bulle von Tölz*. She was also present on the big screen in smaller rolesâmost notably in *(T)Raumschiff Surprise â Periode 1* as a charity collector, and in *Wer frĂŒher stirbt ist lĂ€nger tot* as a great-grandmother. Among her final works were appearances in 2009 in the anthology film *Deutschland 09* and in the *Tatort* episode *Gesang der toten Dinge*. Schubert presumably died in 2013 at the age of 96 in Finland, where she was also laid to rest.
