watched it the second time at bleakweek. one of the best Polanski's film based on Thomas Hardy's novel.It's a pessimistic view on Victorian England era where British class system and patriarchic society crush the souls who are underprivileged. how the system keep reproducing all these ignorant men who fail to understand womens'feelings.
